Trastevere top-pick
Stumbled on this great restaurant over six years ago and decided to try again for our most recent stay in Trastevere. Ricardo and his crew did not disappoint, and we enjoyed a great Italian meal. I was waiting for a friend and got to Trastevere a little early and decided to have lunch. My, my just as well I did, the food was amazing, and so was the service and Wine😍 The staff was so friendly and professional if you are anywhere in Rome and near Trastevere don't miss it. Alle Fratte di Trastevere: Se volete la perfetta trattoria romana, questo e' il posto che fa per voi
Siamo stati a cena il primo giorno del nostro soggiorno romano, e pure a pranzo per l'ultimo giorno. Un'esperienza indimenticabile entrambe le volte. Cibo migliore di tutte le altre trattorie e ristoranti visitati sia a Trastevere che nel resto di Roma, per non parlare dei posti visitati prima in Francia, a Nizza o Parigi, o Londra, in UK. Il cameriere Giuseppe di Napoli assolutamente fantastico! Le portate perfette, romane, e buonissime. Clima accogliente e senza pretese. Avevamo provato altri ristoranti rinomati nella zona, di cui non faccio nome, ma in teoria di classe, e non c'e' proprio paragone. Alle Fratte vince su tutti i fronti! Highly recommend it!!! The best home Italian food in Rome.
Highly recommend! Lovely place, where you can try the best home italian food in Rome. We had a pizza and spaghetti there. Wine and tiramisu. The best Italian food ever tried. Place was clean and tidy. Prices reasonable. Service the best. Very polite and friendly! 5 star rated!

Don’t miss this place!
After escaping the trap of the ubiquitous Tonnarello restaurants in Trastevere I was lucky enough to walk past this place. The outdoor dining vibe was so much more sincere and welcoming that I had to go in. What a great decision! Excellent service by the owner himself, who was kind and jovial, not condescending and willing to indulge me in my poor Italian. I had the oxtails in sauce - omg I was so full but it was so delicious that I couldn’t help scraping the bowl and wishing for more. I also had a side of sautéed chicory with garlic that was light yet savory without being overly oily or clumpy as greens tend to do. Red house wine and a coffee made me so so happy. I asked if they didn’t have a bed available so I could nestle into the sense of warmth and fullness the meal gave me. When I was leaving Peppe, who was NOT my server but took my bill, used my name when he told me goodbye. WHAT?! That’s something! Btw, the woman seated next to me said she was back for the pesto because it had “changed her life” and I believe her.
