We went there while on our honeymoon in June 2007 and we were made so welcome, the food was great as was the atmosphere. When we are next in Rome we will definately be going again.

The Alle Fratte is the place to enjoy a great meal. We dined here in May of 2007 and it had to be one of our most memorable dinners while in Italy. Francesco and his wife(who is from Long Island, New York) made our group feel at home and prepared for us the freshest antipasto, delicious arugala salad, 3 different pastas, rice balls, the tastiest house wine and then to top it off, we had 3 different desserts. We felt as if we were dining with family in a very relaxed atmosphere. All this and our bill was so reasonable at $70 per couple. We can't wait for our next trip to Rome so we can visit our new friends again. We tell everyone we know in the U.S. who is visiting Rome, to dine here for a "delectable" Italian meal. BRAVO!

We went twice to eat last week (13 May and 15 May), we enjoyed the food and the environment. The service is quick, the staff works hard, especially the woman with the blond hair. I would recommend it to everyone.

On behalf of myself and the rest of our group (13 in all) I must say that this was the place where we had the best dinner in Rome! I had first bruschetta with mozzarella di bufala and then a veal stake made with marsala wine and with mushrooms (17.4.2008). - Besides offering fantastic dishes (at reasonable prices), this restaurant has good service. (You can leave a regular tip instead of having to pay a ridiculously high price for service.)
